FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Where can I find information if I have questions?
*We have an information kiosk in the main lobby (narthex) staffed by volunteers each Sunday morning who will gladly answer your questions, and if it is your first visit here, be sure to ask about the information packet and welcome gift we have for you!
2. Is there a dress code for Sunday worship services?
*No, come as you are. People come in everything from suits and ties to blue jeans and t-shirts. Cleanliness and modesty are always in fashion!
3. Do you provide childcare during church services?
*Yes, we have a wonderful nursery staffed by friendly, trained child care workers. The nursery down the hall towards the preschool.
4. Can I take my latte coffee drink in to church?
*Beverages and food are allowed in many areas of the church, but not in the sanctuary. Thanks for observing that guideline.
5. Where are the bathrooms?
*Bathrooms are located down the hall to the left of the sanctuary doors, across from the Lifetree Cafe and just past the church office.
7. Do you have Sunday School? For what ages, and when are the classes?
*We offer an education hour for adults on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am and additional classes and small groups during the week. Children under 3 have nursery care, but from age 3 on up we offer Children's Church during our 10:30 am worship (children are excused following the Children's Message and return for communion). We also offer a Wednesday evening education and fellowship program which includes a family meal and bell choir rehearsals for children and youth (WoW) during the school year. Confirmation is offered for students in Jr. High and our High School youth meet monthly for devotions, servant projects and fun activities.
8. Are children welcome in worship?
Children are welcome and encouraged to take part in all areas of congregational life at St. Mark! We have a "don't rush-don't hush" policy that let's kids be kids as we seek to shape them into committed followers of Jesus Christ. Read more about our policies in Children in Worship.
